COVID-19 Update: Tax Day Moved to July 15

During this unprecedented time, we have been carefully considering the health, safety, and overall well being of our community, employees, and clients every step of the way as the coronavirus (COVID-19) news unfolds. These are extremely challenging days for many, but we do believe that we will prevail together, our collective strength seeing us through this crisis.

Breard & Associates, LLP is committed to doing what is right. The City of Los Angeles issued an order “Safer at Home.” Therefore, as of Friday, March 20, 2020, we have decided to cancel all upcoming tax appointments to further contribute to the fight against this pandemic.  Tax information can be sent via e-mail and mail.  We will begin to take appointments beginning April 20, 2020.  We are available via e-mail if you need to contact us.

As far as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax deadline, on March 20, 2020 Steven Mnuchin, US Treasury Secretary said that at President Donald Trump’s direction “we are moving Tax Day from April 15 to July 15. All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.”  The Franchise Tax Board (FTB) has extended the filing and payment date to June 15, 2020 for business and individuals.

Thank you,

Breard & Associates, LLP
